    Weekly all-comers rides:
Looking for a group to ride with?  Come ride with us on Saturday mornings.  Rides leave from each store at 8:00am sharp, and return to the store around 9:45am.  All levels are welcome, and no one gets left behind.  :)

Main Street Saturday Morning Ride Description:
If you are looking for a hilly course, ride from our Main Street store and experience Paris Mountain's 2.3 mile climb in all its glory!  Once you've reached the top, the back side of the mountain offers about 5 miles worth of rolling descents with gorgeous views of the Furman Campus and downtown Greenville in the distance.  It is the most scenic of the two rides and also the most challenging (at least to your quads) but also the most rewarding.  Total mileage usually falls around 23 miles and total ride time is somewhere around 90 minutes.   As a bonus, the downtown store's coffee and smoothie bar offers a free beverage to all participants.  The rides are free, open to all levels, and we will make sure that no one gets left behind.

Note: It is very difficult for mountain bikes and hybrid bikes to keep up with road bikes on open roads.  Because we have a limited number of ride captains, we may not be able to stay with riders using these types of bikes throughout the entire ride.  If you must ride a mountain or hybrid bike, please make sure to take a cell phone with you.  If you get stranded or lost, we will gladly send someone out to help bring you back to the shop.

Check the route on routeslip here.

Woodruff Road Saturday Morning Ride Description:
The Woodruff Rd. course offers long stretches of rolling pavement and lots of scenic Golden Strip farmland.  Don't be surprised if you find yourself crossing through Mauldin, Simpsonville and even Fountain Inn.  Woodruff Rd rides usually offer several distinct groups (A= Expert, B= Advanced, C=Intermediate, D=Newbie). Depending on the group, mileage and pace tend to vary.  The faster groups may ride 30 miles at a 20+mph average, while the slower group may only go 15-20 miles and average 13-16mph.  As always, no one gets left behind and the rides are open to all levels.

Some basic rules about our rides:
    1. Be courteous to other riders.
    2. Be courteous to motorists.
    3. Observe traffic laws.  (That includes stopping at red lights and stop signs.)
    4. Do not EVER ride on the wrong side of the double yellow line.  Not even to pass.  (See rule #3.)
    5. Helmets must be worn while you are riding.  If you are clipped in, your helmet strap should probably be buckled.  (We aren't the helmet police... It's just for your safety.)
    6. Make sure that your tires are properly inflated before each ride and that your bike is in good working order.
    7. Please make an effort to ride single-file on the right hand side of the road when on busy or twisty roads.  This is to allow motorists to safely get around you and the rest of the group.
    8. Help us keep South Carolina roads clean.  Please don't throw away your gel packs and energy bar wrappers on the side of the road.
    9. French jokes are discouraged... but Belgian jokes are perfectly acceptable.
    10. Have fun, make friends, and enjoy our beautiful countryside.  :)

    New Ride Maps!!!
For other local area rides, check out the growing list of maps on routeslip.com/Greenville.  Each map can is fully interactive, with mile-per-mile elevation points, active waypoint markers, satellite, standard, and hybrid map views, and Cue sheets.  Sign up and add your own routes... or just print the ones that are already there.

    Do-it-yourselfers, rejoice!
We've added some great stuff for you in the Service Center section of our website (like, how to fix a flat, change your bar tape and adjust your brakes), so be sure to check it out. (Hint: Let your cursor explore the top left portion of our menu tab.)
