This is my fist road bike. Up until now I've had an older, very heavy hybrid. I primarily like roads and paved trails, but I will do crushed gravel trails as well and this handles all very well. It is light, handles very well and if extremely comfortable. Shifting is seamless. We live in an area that is very hilly and this bike is great on the hills. I look forward to may years of riding the rural country roads.
I purchased this bike after riding a bunch of other bikes and found that the upright geometry for riding was better on this than others. I went from a hybrid to a road bike and I was looking for a bike that had a little more upright riding, this bike does that. The bike has very quick get up and go and the shifting is seamless. I usually ride anywhere from 18-40 miles per ride and the bike is very comfortable on those rides and I don't see a problem going longer than that. Great for new or experienced riders.
