2014 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp 29

Big wheels equal big fun with Specialized's Stumpjumper Comp 29er. This top-notch hardtail features a lightweight, yet strong M5-aluminum frame that soars up the climbs and a RockShox Reba RL fork that offers 90mm of precision bump control through the rough stuff. The 29-inch Roval wheels spin like a dream, while the 2x10-speed SRAM drivetrain provides flawless shift after shift. Formula C1 disc brakes provide confidence on steep descents and offer speed modulation to let you brake later and go faster. Plus, the Stumpy comes with a full spread of Specialized aluminum components that achieve the rare trifecta of lightness, strength, and durability to maximize your riding fun.

        Comments:

I am back to being a Specialized fan! The geometry is so good on this frame that I am confident in saying that this is the best handling and most compliant aluminum 29er I have ever ridden. The more I ride it, the more confident I am at pushing myself faster in XC downhill sections as well as corners. I did have a front wheel issue dealing with looseness in the hub, but It was taken care of with a new front wheel and no hassle. My LBS and Specialized had great customer support. (Thank You) Bottom bracket should receive the same smooth weld technique that the rest of the frame has. (The only thing I think could be improved on for appearance)

I got the 2012 in May. I can't stay off it. This bike climbs like a monkey and jumps like Spud Webb. The big wheels smooth out the rocks&roots. The light weight makes for easy air and powering through berms. I'm 39ï»? and this summer I'm ridin' like I'm 19. It's gotta be the bike!
