I bought the bike in early September 2013 and have put a few hundred miles on it in the past month, most recently in the Tour de Scottsdale. It rides smoothly and even though it's aluminum, it's lighter and faster than my "vintage" carbon Allez Epic. I did swap out the cassette to give me better hill climbing. I highly recommend the Specialized Allez product line.

I used the allez as a commuter. I love this bike. Although it doesn't have a carbon fork, it glides through the wind( sometimes). This is my first road bike after being on fixed gear for a while. The wheels are a bit on the heavy side but that can't be changed by getting a lighter wheel set. The drivetrain is quiet decent. Is not the smoothest shifts ever but it gets works. Over all this bike is great. I'm soon switching the drivetrain to full ultegra ice grey 6700 and mavic ksyrium elites!

Was riding a mountain bike about 18 miles roundtrip to work 4 days a week. Decided to move up to a road and wow! What a huge difference. This bike is awesome--and the staff at the store really got me into what I needed. May very well upgrade later--but as a beginning road bike I am very happy. I did upgrade the pedals to speedplay chromoly clip ons. And am blown away by how good it is to ride this way. Got into a road bike--and at a price that makes me feel great. And from what I came from...this ride is nothing short of a revelation.

I have had this bike for about 2 months. Great bike and rides very nice. The frame geometry is very nice. The stock handlebar stem was a bit too short and angled downward a bit too much. This issue was remedied easily by the sales person swapping out the stem for something longer and angled upward. The bike is very light and shifts on a dime. It would have been nice to have better pedals for the price of the bike. I ended up changing them out to some red Look pedals..Excellent bike for anyone.

I was the rear bike, when I started riding this Allez I was leading. This bike is fast I really enjoy riding it.The [...] tuneups are great,I tried to make adjustments and had to take it in to have it fixed,[...].The free sizing is great for a new rider. Also the free training classes are fun and helpful. Next year Ill trade up. Great people and great company.

I was a little skeptical at first as of this year they did not include a carbon front fork. But once I rode this bike it is so smooth and glides like a dream corners very nicely and really no uncomfortable position while riding. I would recommend to anyone a plus design.

              Comments:

Bought this bike about a year ago. So far, nothing has gone wrong with the parts/components. I made the right choice given its an entry level bike. No issues whatsoever with the shifters & brakes; as stock parts, they are true to their workmanship. The bike itself, for some reason, is fast. It takes off pretty fast from a stop and downhill ride is even faster/better. Most parts can be upgraded but for this bike; it seems like the only ones that I can upgrade for now are the wheels and tires (already upgraded). Everything else seems to work well with the bike. Good choice - no regrets.

I ride mostly weekends and whenever I can during the week. Each ride 20+ miles a day. I could easily ride this bike 50 miles and not think twice to keep on going. It is really a comfortable bike to ride. Very light, quick acceleration and exceptional handling and steering. I am amazed at how well the bike rolls up hills. 10-12 MPH on a 15 % grade with no problem. It flies up hills !! And just wait until you go down them !! This is my first road bike so I can't compare it to another, but I couldn't have picked a better one for my first road bike in my opinion. The seat is hard on the butt at first, but I must be getting used to it because as time goes on it doesn't bother me as much. The brakes probably could be a little better however. They won't stop you on a dime per say, but they do the job. I have had the bike two weeks now and every time I ride there has been a strong headwind. The bike performs well even in windy conditions. I have absolutely no regrets buying this bike. I am confident you won't neither. Hope to see you out there on your new Specialized Allez !!

I got this bike about 3 months ago, and i am blown away from it. it was my first road bike and its sturdy as a rock, and very efficent. In not a super competetive rider in the sense of i do some sprint triatalons and ride alot on varying distances(20-40 miles) on sundays, and try to get out as much as possible during the week but its kinda hard because im 13(: bottom line is i love this bike i dfinatly recomend it and cant wait to start competeing in different things with it!
