Comments:

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and BAM! he was coasting along within minutes.I got this one because it is so lightweight. You won't believe it until you pick it up.Only con . . . he wanted pedals after riding it for a few days. This bicycle is like one of those mastercard commercials . . . 20 dollars on your credit card for a helmet, [$] dollars on your credit card for the nicest balance bicycle available, teaching your kid to ride a bicycle . . . pricless.

    Comments:

Bought this for the grandson. We wanted to get him something that would teach him balance without wobbling on training wheels. This did the trick. He was 2 when we got it, and it took only about 5 minutes to show him how to use it. Now he won't get off of it. It is very stable and he flys around on it like a pro. We will be trading this up for the one with the pedals and will leave the training wheels off. There are other brands that are cheaper, but this is very light weight and as soon as the guys at Alameda Bicycle told us that they would take it as a trade in for full purchase price regardless of the condition, we were sold. Now it will only be a fraction of the cost for the next step up.

I started My 4 year old girl on this modle. Within minutes she was ballancing and coasting with her feet up. She still loved it after six months of nearly daily riding. For Xmas she got a pedal bike and rides like a pro. At 4 1/2 she's tearing up the streets with great controle and confidence while older kids in the neighborhood are still riding with training wheels. Thanks Ken Smith.
